Here’s
a quick guide to me as a TV viewer. Expect a rather longer list of my top 100
TV programmes in the coming weeks…
Drama:
Silent Witness (Corpses, corpses and more corpses.
And Tom Ward. He can perform my postmortem any day.)
Entertainment
programme: Britain’s Got Talent (You can’t not love
a show in which a dog can win £250,000 and a chance to meet the Queen!)
Chat
Show: Alan
Carr Chatty Man (who wouldn’t Love to have a drink with Alan?)
Factual
programme: Planet Earth (I wish I could hire David
Attenborough to read me bedtime stories…)
UK
Comedy: My Family/My Hero (Ben Harper – worlds worst/most
hilarious dad/dentist and George Sunday world’s worst/most hilarious
superhero.)
US
Comedy: Friends/Cougar Town (Because if these
programmes were real, I’d either be living in NYC with the gang or hanging out in Florida drinking
wine for breakfast with ‘the cul-de-sac crew’.)
Serial/Soap:
Eastenders (The only area of
London where not a single resident owns a washing machine. Unless there’s
something going on in Dot’s Launderette that I don’t know about.)
TV
Genre: Crime Drama (Murder, mystery and moody
coppers. I love it all.)
Male
Actors: David Tennant (Doctor Who, Single Father), Tom Ward (Silent Witness), David Jason (A Touch of Frost, Only
Fools and Horses), Rupert Penry-Jones (Spooks,
Silk)
Female
Actors: Suranne Jones (Coronation Street, Scott and
Bailey), Emilia Fox (Silent Witness,
Merlin) , Jaqueline Jossa (Eastenders), Amanda
Redman (At Home With The Braithwaites, New Tricks)
